Related to responding to someone else calling you names, that came after the first few chat infractions - the first few messages do not appear to have anything prompting you to say that - you decided to enter the conversation yourself. In addition, it is not appropriate to basically threaten to kill someone no matter who they are or what they did, even as an empty threat. Someone else breaking rules is not an excuse to break rules yourself, and even with the fact that someone else said inappropriate things in chat, your messages were extreme.

The screenshots of the messages are in discord because the in-game chats are linked to a (hidden) discord channel, and discord searching makes it easy to search through chat logs - rest assured, they copy exactly what is said in minecraft.
