Why am i banned?

I found this server from a friend. I thought it would be cool to come on and have fun with some minecraft players. I tried to logon only to see my account banned. I tried to logon multiple times but i kept getting the same message, that i was banned a long time. It states no reason why i was banned. Please unban for I have no clue why i am banned.
